Dr. Michael Brown is a Messianic Jew. He is also a Christian writer who regularly contributes articles to the Christian Post and hosts a radio program titled, “Ask Dr. Brown.” His ministry produced a video that addressed the question “Can you be gay and be a Christian?” The video aired as an advertisement on Google-owned YouTube.
Though nothing in the video was presented in a mean-spirited manner some Google employees were outraged calling the video “homophobic” and contrary to Google’s “mission.” Google, according to “The Daily Caller,” eventually banned the video.
Of course Google is a private company not bound by the proscriptions of the First Amendment. The Amendments to the Constitution are a restraint on government not private businesses. Google is free to practice the same kind of mind control Hitler wrote about in “Mein Kampf” in his chapter on propaganda. It is a simple strategy that can be summed up in the statement, “If you lie about something loud enough and long enough people will begin to believe it.”
The LGBTQ crowd and their friends are fond of quoting “God is love” in total disregard of where the term appears in Scripture and the context in which the human author penned those words. They quote it in the sense that sex is love and anything goes when referring to human sexual relations.
The term “God is love” only appears twice in the Bible, 1 John 4:8 & 16, and was written by the same human author who penned the words, “The one who says, ‘I have come to know Him,’ and does not keep His commandments, is a liar and the truth is not in him; but whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected,” 1 John 2:4-5.
God is love and if we love him we do not try to make excuses to disobey his commandments, including those on human sexuality. I fail to see why many believe it is rational to excuse their homosexuality by saying, “I was born this way.”
I cannot imagine a husband or wife when confronting a cheating spouse would accept the excuse, “I was born this way.” Of course, we are all born with a sin nature, a propensity to do as we please, but that doesn’t excuse the sinful choices we make.
Paul told Timothy “the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away from the truth and will turn aside to myths,” 2 Timothy 4:3-4. That time has come, we embrace the myths of same-sex marriage, a man can be a woman, and a woman can be a man. How much more deluded can we become?
